Does anyone know if B-17 navigators performed their duties standing up? Pictures of the nose section show a chair, but I've heard that many navigators
removed them. I'd guess that this gave them more room to move around. Does anyone recall?
Steve is currently trying to reproduce the Memphis Belle Nav Table, and is trying to obtain its original specs and Nav related task on a bombing mission.
