Would appreciate if C-47 navigators who used B5 drift meters, particularity in ETO would let me know of their experiences (or pilots who were aware of nav equipment). Did you use them to fly over the pond? If yes, did you have adequate course lines. Also were B5s used on D-Day missions or did you fly preplanned route data without updates for enroute weather? Air Mobility Command (AMC) Muesum, Dover ,De is attempting to restore aircraft 4292841 to its D-Day configuration and we need info on nav equipment onboard. Did you use D-12 compass or fluxgate?
